Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to Writ of Mandamus,directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation given by the Petitioner dated 28.01.2022 as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihoood Regulation) Act, 2014, made for granting permission/ Certificate of vending and till such time not to disturb with the running of Tiffen Shop located at adjacent to M.G.R.Nagar E.B.Office, 138 ward, 10th Zone of the Corporation of Chennai.

Mr.Rahul Aditya, learned counsel for Ms.P.T.Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondent/ corporation and its officials circulates a copy of order dated 01.03.2022 under which the representation of the petitioner dated 28.01.2022, laid under the provisions of Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act, 2014 stands rejected. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The reasons set out is that, upon inspection, it was found that the shop was very proximate to Government Departments and causes hindrance to the general public.

2.In the light of the above, this writ petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
