Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to allot the LPG (RGGL V) dealership to the petitioner at Keezhapalur Village, Ariyalur District based on the representation of the petitioner dated 25.02.2016.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to allot the LPG (RGGL V) dealership to the petitioner at Keezhapalur Village, Ariyalur District based on the representation submitted by the petitioner on 25.02.2016.

2. The writ petition was filed in the year 2016. By considering the representation dated 25.02.2016 for the allotment of LPG Dealership to the petitioner, cannot be granted.

3. There are procedures and the Rules to be followed by the Competent Authorities for the grant of LPG Dealership. If at all the petitioner is eligible, an application is to be submitted in the prescribed format based on the Notification, if any, issued and by following the Rules and Regulations, allotment is to be made in a transparent manner. Thus, the very relief sought for in the present writ petition is absurd and is to be rejected. 4.

This apart, the present writ petition was filed in the year 2016 and about 5 years had lapsed. Thus, the said representation dated 25.02.2016, submitted by the petitioner, lost its relevance and if any Notification is issued in future and if at all the petitioner is fully eligible and qualified, she is at liberty to submit an application in the manner known to law.

5. With the abovesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
