O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 397, 307 and 506 (ii) of IPC, in Crime No. 56 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of prosecution is that on the date of occurrence, the petitioner along with other accused have waylaid the defacto complainant, and robbed money. Hence, the present complaint has been filed against the petitioner.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is an habitual offender and there are seven previous cases pending against him, in which three cases are similar in nature. Hence, this petition may be dismissed.

Taking into consideration of the fact that, the petitioner is an habitual offender and there are seven previous cases pending against the petitioner, in which three cases are similar in nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
