Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to conduct an enquiry with regard to the petitioner's application dated 16.10.1985 for alteration of date of birth in pursuance of the proceedings of the third respondent in letter Na.Ka.No.B1/36659/2010 dated 15.04.2011 and submit a report to the third respondent and consequently direct the third and first respondents to consider the said report and to pass appropriate orders thereon with regard to the petitioner's application for alteration of date of birth all within a limited time frame as deemed fit.

The above writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to conduct an enquiry with regard to the petitioner's application dated 16.10.1985 for alteration of date of birth in pursuance of the proceedings of the third respondent in letter Na.Ka.No.B1/36659/2010 dated 15.04.2011 and submit a report to the third respondent and consequently direct the third and first respondents to consider the said report and to pass appropriate orders thereon with regard to the petitioner's application for alteration of date of birth all within a limited time.

2. This Court heard M/s.M.Ravipriya Ravi, the learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.K.Muralidharan, the learned Government Advocate (Forest) and Mr.M.K.Subramanian, the learned Special Government Pleader for R1 and R3.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the issue involved in this petition itself become infructuous and hence, this writ petition may be dismissed as infructuous.

4. Recording the above said submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
