O R D E R

Heard Mr. M.Kempraj, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. V.Ravi, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the First Respondent and Mr. T.Shanmugam, Learned Counsel appearing for the Second Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

This Contempt Petition is prosecuted for failure of the Respondents to comply with the order dated 12.04.2023 in W.P. No. 7127 of 2023 passed by the Court.

The First Respondent has sent a report in Rc.No.8288/LC/2023 dated 31.08.2023 to the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court in compliance of the order dated 12.04.2023 in W.P. No. 7127 of 2023 passed by the Court, which reads as follows:- 2/5

" In this regard it is informed that in the reference 2nd cited, as per the court direction the United India Insurance Company Private Limited has settled eligible amount of Rs. 43,146/- (Rupees Forty Three Thousand One Hundred and Forty Six Only) to the Writ Petitioner vide UTR No. 23395912010 dated: 21.07.2023. Hence, the Hon'ble Court directions has been complied with.

Further it is also submitted that the interest @ the rate of 6% as ordered by this Hon'ble Court has also been worked out as Rs. 6,314/- by United India Insurance Company Ltd., has informed by the United India Insurance Company Ltd., that the same will be paid to the Petitioner within a period of two weeks as the system process will take 2 weeks' time." In view of the same, nothing remains for further consideration in the Contempt Petition, but if the Petitioner still has any grievance to be redressed in the matter, he is not precluded from working out his rights before the proper forum in the manner recognized by law.

In the result, the Contempt Petition is closed with the aforesaid observation. No costs.
