ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, direct directing the respondents 1 to 4 to enquire in to petitioner grievance regarding non-payment of AICTE prescribed pay by the 5th respondent raised vide petitioner letter dated 11.07.2025 in accordance with the Rules and Regulations laid down by the 1st and 4th respondent within a time frame.
2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a Senior Professor holding Doctorate in Civil Engineering and he was appointed as a Professor and latter promoted in the year 2013 as Dean (Research and Development) as an additional charge, while continuing his academic and administrative duties as a Professor, the petitioner tendered his resignation on 06.09.2025 and relieved from service on 06.11.2025. It is the grievance of the petitioner that during his tenure from May 2007 to 06.11.2025, the petitioner worked in various capacities but, the pay scale and allowances paid to the petitioner was much lower than the pay scale prescribed by the AICTE regulations thereby, the petitioner made a representation on 07.11.2025. Since no order was passed, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court issue a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within a specified time.
5. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the respondents will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within a specified time.
6. In view of the above, there will be a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
