ORDER

The petition in C.M.P.No.12789 of 2025 has been filed by the revision petitioner/tenant seeking extension of time for vacating the premises from 31.05.2025 to 30.06.2025.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, during the pendency of the Civil Revision Petition, the parties arrived at an amicable settlement and accordingly, the petitioner filed an affidavit of undertaking dated 13.02.2025 inter alia stating that he would vacate and hand over possession of the subject premises on or before 31.05.2025. The said undertaking was recorded by this Court by order dated 13.02.2025. But, due to some reasons beyond the control of the petitioner, the petitioner could not vacate the premises. In the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the petitioner has affirmed his commitment to vacate the premises on or before 30.06.2025 and has undertaken to continue paying the rent for the extended period. 3.Learned counsel on the other side has also not raised any serious objections for extension of time.

Considering the facts narrated in the affidavit, this Court is inclined to extend the time. Accordingly, C.M.P.No.12789 of 2025 is ordered. It is made clear that, if the petitioner does not vacate the premises as undertaken by him, the petitioner will be proceeded for contempt of Court.
