Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2013, directing the second respondent to issue priority certificate to the petitioner within the time period stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

Mr.Neelamegam, S/o Kaliyan, claiming to be a land loser pursuant to the land acquisition proceedings initiated by the respondents, has come to this Court seeking a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to dispose of his representation dated 1.7.2013, more particularly, directing the second respondent to issue priority certificate to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. When the petitioner claims that his lands were acquired by the respondents for a public purpose and that has given rise to seek the priority certificate for getting employment on priority basis, the foremost thing the petitioner ought to have done before coming to this Court is that he should have obtained a copy of the award showing his name as one of the land losers. When the petitioner is not able to produce a copy of the award as to the payment of compensation, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and it is dismissed. No costs.
