PRAYER:

Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2018.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a permanent resident of Kannagi Nagar of Kolathur. Since the respondent Corporation did not lay road on the street, where the petitioner is residing, he gave a representation dated 02.02.2018. Since no action was taken, the present writ petition.

4. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.

5. In the light of the above submissions on either side and the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and take appropriate action on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
