ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to cancel the wrong patta Nos.561 and 2517 and issue patta in the petitioner's wife name K.Vembu in S.No.153/3B to an extent of 2712 sq.ft situated at Guduvanchery Taluk, Chengalpet District by considering the representation dated 23.05.2022.

As against the order of issuance of patta passed by the fourth respondent Tahsildar, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the third respondent Revenue Divisional Officer on 23.05.2022 and in order to consider the same and to dispose the said appeal filed by the petitioner before the third respondent Revenue Divisional Officer within a time frame on merits, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.R.Chandrasekaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the said appeal filed by the petitioner would be considered by the third respondent Revenue Divisional Officer within a time frame on merits and be decided.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the said appeal filed by the petitioner and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
