ORDER
The petitioner who is the President of Vaipoor Village, Kundrathur Union, Kancheepuram District, has filed this Writ Petition, seeking a direction to consider the representation made by him before the 1st respondent.
2. Mr.S.Sarath Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to the non co-operation of some of the Ward members, the welfare activities of the village can not be carried out and the entire activities of the Panchayat have come to a standstill. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 29.01.2024, by alleging non-cooperation from the Ward
members belonging to Ward Nos.3, 4, 5 and 6 and the same has not been considered and no orders have been passed so far.
3. Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice on behalf of the Respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits.
4. Mr.R.Kumaravel, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the 3rd Respondent submitted that there are some political dispute between the Ward Members, which leads to the non cooperation among the Ward members.
5. In such case, it is incumbent upon the Respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner in the public interest. Hence, the 1st Respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.01.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
