This Writ petition has been filed to quash the proceedings made in G.O.(D) No.243 dated 05.10.2007, Highways (HW1) Department and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to pay the fees as raised in the fee bill dated 27.08.2004 with the interest @ 12% from the expiry of the bill date as ordered by this Hon'nle Court in W.P.No.5635/2007 dated 09.04.2008.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that, the Government has passed an Order in G.O.(Rt) No.346, Highways and Minor Ports (HW2) Department dated 25.11.2022, by which, an amount of Rs.4,68,679/- has been sanctioned to the petitioner viz. Thiru M.C.Swamy, former Special Government Pleader(CS). He further submitted that the
amount will be paid within a week and also placed the above Government Order before this Court.
3. Inview of the above Government Order, and also taking into account the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the amount will be settled to the petitioner within a week, this Court is of the view that, no further order is required to be passed.
