Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the first respondent to produce the petitioner's minor daughter Kanagavalli, aged about 17 years, daughter of Meganathan, now she is in the custody of the 2nd respondent Mr.Loganathan, at Villge Doosi Nathakollai, Cheyyar Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, before this Court and set her liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN,J.) This Habeas Corpus petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to produce the petitioner's minor daughter Kanagavalli, aged about 17 years, who is said to be in the illegal custody of the 2nd respondent-Mr.Loganathan, at Doosi Village, Nathakollai, Cheyyar Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, before this Court and set her liberty.

2. Today, the alleged detenue - Kanagavalli has been produced before this Court by the first respondent police. Tmt.Sarasa - the mother of the detenue is also present along with her.
3. On enquiry, the alleged detenue stated that she is a major and she went out of the parental home on her own wish and volition and married the second respondent. She had clearly stated that she would go only along with her husband-the second respondent herein.
4. Tmt.Sarasa, the mother of the alleged detenue, who is present before this Court, is also called and appraised of the facts. She has no objection for her daughter living with the second respondent herein. The statement of the mother of the alleged detenue is recorded.
5.In view of the categorical statement made by the alleged detenue that she wants to go only along with her husband/the second respondent herein, nothing further remains to be considered in this petition.
