ORDER

The writ petition has been filed challenging the recruitment notification / advertisement No. 252 dated 08.11.2010 published insofar 2/4

as calling for direct recruitment to fill up the vacancies of 12 posts of Statistical Assistant, with a consequential direction to promote the petitioners herein to the post of Statistical Assistant.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submitted that even though the writ petition was entertained at the time of admission and an interim order was granted, subsequently, the interim order was vacated. It is submitted that pursuant to which, the posts called for as per the notification have been filled up. Therefore, as on date, the relief sought for in the writ petition for the consequential prayer to promote the petitioners to the post of Statistical Assistant no longer survives and has become infructuous.

3. Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, this writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. 24.10.2024 Speaking (or) Non Speaking Order Index : Yes/ No shk 3/4
