This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.4 of 2026, on the file of the 1st respondent police. 2.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has driven the four-wheeler in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against the de facto 1 / 4

complainants vehicle, resulting in the de facto complainant sustaining grievous injuries.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was driving the vehicle on the left side of the road and that the victim came on the wrong side and was responsible for the accident and the petitioner has been falsely implicated as an accused in this case. He also submitted that the petitioner's vehicle was damaged in the accident and that, without prejudice to his rights, the petitioner is willing to pay compensation to the victim.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the 1st respondent police produced the CCTV footage of the occurrence. 5.

Considering the above submissions, the investigation shall proceed; however, the final report shall not be filed until further orders. 6.

Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent. 7.

The learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to take 2 / 4

private notice to the 2nd respondent returnable in two weeks.

8. Post the matter after two weeks.
