On the last occasion itself, it was represented that the appellant had since died. The matter was adjourned with instructions to the prosecution to verify. Today also, the prosecution could not verify the death of the appellant. However, the accused, who is the appellant in the connected Criminal Appeal No.425 of 2015, submits that the appellant herein has since died. The learned counsel also earlier represented that the appellant had died.

2. In view thereof, the criminal appeal is dismissed as having abated. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed. 30-06-2025 gd
