-2O R D E R The relief sought for in the Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to fix the pay of the petitioner in Selection Grade Scale of pay of Middle School Headmaster with effect from 1.9.1997 and grant him all consequential benefits.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the Writ Petitioner was appointed as Secondary Grade Apprentice Teacher at Ramakrishna Middle School on 1.3.1972. He was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher on regular basis on 25.9.1972 in the same school. The petitioner was further promoted as Headmaster on 1.7.1982. The petitioner was fully qualified for appointment to the post of Tamil Pandit and eligible for promotion as Middle School Headmaster. On these facts, the petitioner states that he is entitled to get selection grade pay by virtue of his service rendered in the same place for more than ten years. His claim has not been considered with reference to G.O.(2D) 33, School Education (2D) dated 6.7.2001. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the second respondent and the same is yet to be considered.

3. Therefore, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the Writ Petitioner on 15.12.2004 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law,

-3within the period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petitioner is directed to enclose all related documents and copy of this order along with the representation.
