The petitioner has filed this petition to quash the proceedings in CC No.2823 of 2017 pending on the file of the V Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai.

2. When the Matter was listed for hearing on 12.08.2021, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and hence the matter was posted on 19.08.2021. opportunity to the petitioner, the matter was again directed to be listed on 25.08.2021 under the caption ''For Dismissal''. Today, the case is listed for hearing under the caption "for dismissal" but today also none represented on behalf of the petitioner.

3. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
