The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.501 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 21(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

2. The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 29.12.2023. It is stated that the petitioner was in possession of 85 grams of heroin. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the seized product is intermediate quantity. Hence, prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. One strong objection raised on behalf of the respondent is that the petitioner belongs to Bihar and there is possibility for absconding. He further submitted that the investigation is in initial stage.
