The writ petition is filed by J.Natarajan, directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 08.02.2016 for revising his pension in the light of the orders issued by the second respondent in G.O.(Ms).No.363, Finance (PGC) Department, dated 23.8.2013 within a reasonable period.

2. Heard Mr.T.Ranganathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

3. The petitioner, who entered into State Service as Typist in the Revenue Department at Krishnagiri District in the year 1955, was transferred and posted as Stenographer in the Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service during the year 1957. promoted as Personal Assistant and Private Secretary to the Secretary to Government in the first respondent Department. Thereafter, in the year 1978, the petitioner joined as Administrative Officer in the Tuticorin Alcoholic Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited on deputation and retired from service on 31.5.1993 as Chief Manager. According to the petitioner, though the Government have issued orders in GO.(MS) No.363, Finance (PGC) Department, dated 23.8.2013 revising the pension, the same has not been paid to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation dated 08.2.2016 requesting to revise his pension in the light of the orders issued by the second respondent in G.O.Ms.No.363, Finance (PGC) Department, dated 23.8.2013. Since no action was taken on the said representation, the petitioner has come to this Court.

Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the writ petition, directs the first respondent to consider the pending representation dated 08.02.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
