ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to return Document No.P/Singanallur/223/2022 in Receipts No.23917/2022 dated 12.12.2022 after registration to the petitioner.

In respect of the pending document No.P/Singanallur/223/2022 in receipt No.23917/2022 dated 12.12.2022, though the same has been registered at the second respondent Office, it has not been released so far. Therefore, in order to release the same, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.M.Selvam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that, whether the document in question has to be referred to under Section 33-A or 47-A of the Indian Stamps Act, 1899 or not has to be decided by the Sub-Registrar and in this regard, orders would be passed within a shortest possible of time preferably within a period of two weeks. Therefore, the learned Special Government Pleader would submit that this writ petition can be disposed of by recording this.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Special 2/4

Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court gives a direction to the second respondent to pass orders as indicated above within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
