(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM,J.,) The present Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents 4 to 6 to conduct an enquiry on encroachment in pursuance of the communication dated 06.11.2024 and 25.04.2025 in a time bound manner and to take immediate action against the encroacher of land and retrieve the same.

2. The petitioner has relied on his representation, wherein, he had stated that pre-independence British Government assigned some lands in favour of his father. However, the petitioner has not produced any assignment order to that effect. In the absence of any document to establish assignment, the representation given in vague cannot be disposed of by the Authorities. That apart, the petitioner claims that the land assigned in favour of his father is under encroachment. Even the details regarding the encroachment has not been furnished.

3. Thus, the petitioner has not established even semblance of legal right for the purpose of entertaining the Writ Petition. Consequently, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
