Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records comprised in proceeding No.CMWSSB/P&A/STF/RA1/20038/2010 dated 21.09.2010, on the file of the 2nd respondent, quash the same and consequently, direct the 2nd respondent Board to consider the promotion of the respondents 3 to 6 strictly in accordance with the Special Regulations 1982 of the 2nd respondent Board and also the directions of this Court as made in W.P.No.5998 of 1992 dated 20.11.1998 and the Supreme Court as made in C.A.No.5490 of 2005 dated 20.04.2010 and also, the representations of the petitioner in this regard to the 2nd respondent Board on 07.05.2010, 24.05.2010, 28.08.2010, 02.09.2010, 23.09.2010, 08.10.2010 and 06.12.2010.

ORDER
Today, when this writ petition was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the Petitioners produced a copy of Letter dated 04.12.2014 received from the Petitioners before this Court, wherein, it has been stated 2/4
that since the Respondents 3 to 6 retired from service, the Petitioners are willing to withdraw this writ petition.
2. As far as this case is concerned, since more than 13 years have lapsed from filing of this writ petition, the relief sought by the Petitioners has become infructuous due to efflux of time. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
