[ Respondent] Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct all respondents to consider the petitioners representations dated 6.4.2016 and 8.4.2016 with the respect to issue patta for his land in Survey No.247 to the extent of 918 square feet situated at No.302/379 Thiyagi Annamalai Nagar Thiruvannamalai Taluk and District in his peaceful possession and enjoyment of his house and appurtenance more than 45 years.

Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing all respondents to consider his representations dated 6.4.2016 and 8.4.2016, with the respect to issuance of patta for his land in Survey No.247 to the extent of 918 square feet situated at No.302/379, Thiyagi Annamalai Nagar, Thiruvannamalai Taluk and District, in his peaceful possession and enjoyment of his house and appurtenance of more than 45 years.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representations dated 06.04.2016 and 08.04.2016, the 3rd respondent has not considered the same and passed orders so far.

5. Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representations and pass orders in accordance with law, within a time frame.

6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 06.04.2016 and 08.04.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
