PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondent for having committed contempt of the order passed in Crl.O.P.No.19235 of 2018 dated 01.08.2018, on the file of this Court.

O R D E R
This contempt petition has been filed for not complying the order dated 01.08.2018 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.19235 of 2018, thereby directed the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.167 of 2014,
within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of that Order.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that they conducted enquiry in Crime No.167 of 2017 and filed final report before learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruvannamalai, on 27.03.2019.

Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this contempt petition is closed. However, considering the facts and circumstance of the case, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruvannamalai, is directed to take cognizance on the final report filed in Crime No.167 of 2014, by the respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.

With the above observations, the contempt petition stands closed. No costs.
