These applications have been filed to reopen the Contempt Petition No.1812 of 2019 order dated 06.01.2022 and to permit the legal heir of the deceased petitioner to proceed with contempt petition. 2.

The Contempt Petition in Cont.P.No.1812 of 2019 has been filed before this Court for non compliance of the order dated 12.04.2019 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.10057 of 2019, thereby directing the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.25 of 2019. By an order dated 06.01.2020, this Court extended the time for further period of one month and directed the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.25 of 2019. In the mean time, the petitioner died. However, the respondent did not comply the said directions as such, the present Sub Applications have been filed by the legal heir of the petitioner with the above said prayers. 3.

This Court by an order dated 22.07.2022, directed the respondent/ contemnor to appear before this Court and post the matter today, for reporting compliance.

Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent

completed the investigation and filed final report on 11.08.2022 before the concerned jurisdictional Court viz., the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambatur, Chennai and it is pending for taking cognizance. The respondent/contemnor is also present before this Court.
