PRAYER : Petition filed Under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act 1971, to punish the respondent for his willful and international disobedience to the order of this Hon'ble Court in W.P.M.P.No. 10118 of 2002 etc in W.P.No.7311 of 2002 dated 11.07.2002.

O R D E R

This Court passed an interim order on 11.07.2002, directing the Writ Petitioner/Southern Railway to deposit a sum of Rs.1,20,000/- with the Industrial Tribunal, which was earlier functioning at Shastri Bhavan. 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the Railways submits that the records relating to I.D.No.5 of 1993 was

transferred to the Industrial Tribunal now functioning in High Court Campus, Chennai, and since the said Tribunal, is not accepting the cheque for Rs.1,20,000/-, the writ petitioner/Southern Railway is unable to comply with the Interim Order passed by this Court.

3.Under these circumstances, the Writ petitioner/Southern Railway is directed to pay 50% of amount of Rs.60,000/- directly to Thiru Rajaram (1st respondent in the Writ Petition), through his counsel by way of Demand Draft, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and in respect of the balance amount and other contentions, in this regard shall be considered at the time of final hearing of the Writ Petition.
