This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to call for the records of the impugned communication of the third respondent bearing Na.Ka.No.29457/C2/E2/2012, dated 27.07.2012 and quash the same and consequently, direct the third respondent to call the petitioner for promotion and promote him with all attendant benefits.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the matter has become infructuous and nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication. He has also made an Page No.2 of 5

endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

3. In view of the above submission coupled with an endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
