O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner and to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2022.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he purchased the property comprised in Survey No.532/1 and 532/2 by way of registered sale deed from one Thulasi and 2 others. Since, the

revenue records stood in the name of one Semathammal, who is the mother of the vendors, the petitioner made several representations before the 2nd respondent regarding issuance of patta in his name. Thereafter, the 2nd respondent forwarded the same to the 1st respondent recommending for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner. Subsequently, the petitioner made a representation dated 07.01.2022 before the 1st respondent. However, till date, no order was passed on the representation of the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, this Writ Petition has been filed.

Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2022 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader has no objection for said order being passed.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2022 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after affording opportunity of hearing to the aggrieved party, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
