PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents strictly adhere to the seniority on the basis of date of initial appointment of the petitioner as police constable Grade II in the feeder category, irrespective of the wing in which he is working and to promote the petitioner as Head Constable, Armed Reserve Unit, Salem City with retrospective effect from the date of promotion of his immediate junior with reference to the seniority in the feeder category. ORDER

This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents strictly adhere to the seniority on the basis of date of initial appointment of the petitioner as police constable Grade II in the feeder category, irrespective of the wing in which he is working and to promote the petitioner as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Head Constable,Armed Reserve Unit, Salem City with retrospective effect from the date of promotion of his immediate junior with reference to the seniority in the feeder category. 2.When the matter is listed today, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that after the filing of the writ petition he has been transferred and he has also filed a memo to the said effect. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition.

3.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the memo filed by the petitioner , this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
