Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first Respondent in connection with the impugned orders passed by him in Na.Ka.No.15004/2009/Ku.Vi.3, dated 26,04,2010 and quash the same and direct the respondents to enroll the Petitioner as a member in the general provident fund scheme by taking into consideration the earlier service rendered by him in a public sector undertaking from 20.07.1987 to 21.07.2009 and grant him all consequential service and monetary benefits. O R D E R

At the last hearing, learned counsel for the Petitioner informed the Court that the Petitioner died in December 2020 and took an adjournment so as to get necessary instructions from the legal heirs. At the hearing today, learned counsel states that he has not been able to obtain instructions from the legal heirs. However, he states that in view of the nature of relief claimed in the present writ petition and subsequent events, the writ petition may be closed.

In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, W.P.No.25375 of 2011 is closed by granting leave to the legal heirs of the Petitioner to restore the writ petition or initiate fresh proceedings if so intended. Consequently, connected M.P. is closed. No costs.
