ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to receive the application of the petitioner, who wants to participate for selection to the post of Assistant Professors, as per the notification issued by the respondent dated 04.10.2019.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the respondent issued a notification for filling up 2430 posts of Assistant Professors. As per the notification, online applications were opened on 04.10.2019. The last date was fixed as 30.10.2019. 1/2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
There was some problem in the website and therefore time was extended up to 15.11.2019. Again some of the candidates found that they were not able to upload the application and therefore the time was again extended up to 21.12.2019. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was not able to upload the application due to a server error and therefore, he made a representation to the respondent to receive the application physically. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.
3. Heard Mr.N.G.R.Prasad, learned counsel appearing for M/s.Row and Reddy, for the petitioner and Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
4. Considering the grievance expressed by the petitioner and also of the fact that there was a server error which resulted in the respondent extending the time at least twice, as a special case, the petitioner can be given one last chance to submit his application for participating in the selection to the post of Assistant Professors. This case should not be taken as a precedent by any other candidate, who did not submit the application online within the stipulated time, since nobody else has approached this Court and the relief is given to the petitioner considering the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case.
5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit his application along with all the necessary particulars and documents to the respondent on or before 14.02.2020. The respondent is directed to receive the application of the petitioner and process the same. It is made clear that no further extension of time will be granted by this Court.
6. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
