When the Contempt Petition was taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as against the order passed in W.P.No.31153 of Page 2/4

2013 dated 31.07.2012, the respondents preferred an appeal in W.A.No.814 of 2014 and the Division Bench of this Court, by order dated 15.03.2018, disposed of the appeal, observing that during the pendency of the appeal, the matter was settled and the District Collector re-valued the property and the compensation was also paid to the petitioners. In view of the subsequent events, the order passed by the learned Single Judge was set aside. 2.In view of the order passed by the Division Bench in W.A.No.814 of 2014, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
