ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed for the alleged disobedience of the Order dated 28.09.2012 passed by this Court in A.No. 2216 of 2012 in O.P.No.303 of 2012.

Contempt Petition No.1146 of 2013

2. An Order has been passed in application No.2216 of 2012, seeking for interim custody of the minor son. R.Thiruvengadam, born on 19.05.2002 and minor daughter Divya Darshini, born on 19.09.2004.

3. Minor R.Thiruvengadam, having been born on 19.05.2002, by now has attained majority and therefore nothing survives for adjudication, insofar as R.Thiruvengadam is concerned.

4. Insofar as the second minor viz., Divya Darshini is concerned, she was born on 19.09.2004. Even though she may not have attained majority by now, due to the lapse of a long period from the date of the Order i.e., 28.09.2012 and now we are in 2022, this Court is of the considered view that no useful purpose will be served, if this contempt petition is taken up for consideration after a long lapse of nine years from the date of the Order.
