The petitioner submitted a representation dated 02.01.2015 to the respondent stating that Street light should not be installed in the subject property, in view of the fact that a civil case was pending during the relevant point of time.
2. This Court is of the considered opinion that the public amenities and infrastructure facilities ought to be provided in the interest of public and for the benefit of the people residing in that locality. Street lights are very important and the representation itself is misconceived as mere pendency of the suit should not be the bar for the authorities to install street lights for the benefit of the public at large. Therefore, the relief as sought for to consider the representation cannot be granted and consequently the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
