O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner and his shop located in Door No.7/69B, KVK Complex, Thammampatty main road, Attur Taluk, Salem District pending disposal of the Civil suit in O.S.No.279 of 2023, pending on the file of Principal District Munsif Court, Attur, by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 15.01.2024.

2.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that, based on the complaint dated 15.01.2024 given by the petitioner, petition enquiry is pending on the file of the respondent Police.

3.The petitioner is directed to co-operate with the Police for enquiry and the respondent Police shall conduct the enquiry keeping in mind the judgment in Lalitha Kumari vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh reported in 2013 (6) CTC 353. On completion of the enquiry, the respondent Police shall take a decision regarding the further course of action. This process shall be completed by the respondent Police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above directions, this Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
