PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 2nd respondent herein from filling up the post of Steno-typist Grade III notified under Notification/Advertisement No.201 without filling up the notified vacancies of StenoTypists Grade III numbering 507 under Notification/Advertisement No.135 of the 2nd respondent herein and direct the 2nd respondent herein to appoint the petitioner under Registration No.02706267, whose name already appears in the Reserved List for the post of Steno-typist Grade III in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial/Secretarial/Judicial Service for the year 2006-2007 included in the Grade IV Services.

O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 2nd respondent herein from filling up the post of Steno-typist Grade III notified under Notification/Advertisement No.201 without filling up the notified vacancies of Steno-Typists Grade III numbering 507 under Notification/Advertisement No.135 of the 2nd respondent herein with a direction, directing the 2nd respondent to appoint the petitioner under Registration No.02706267, whose name already appears in the Reserved List for the post of Stenotypist Grade III in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial/Secretarial/Judicial Service for the year 2006-2007 included in the Grade IV Services.

When the matter is called, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer in the Writ Petition has already become infructuous. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
