Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2016 and thereby direct the respondents to give promotion and appoint the petitioner as Sanitary Supervisor in the fifth respondent Sankagiri Town Panchayat, Salem District in the retired place of one Tr.Kuppamuthu retired on 29.02.2016.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 10.03.2016 in respect of promotion to the post of Sanitary Supervisor.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner is now working as Sanitary Supervisor in the fifth respondent Town Panchayat and he is eligible for the post of Sanitary Supervisor. However, the case was not considered in accordance with the Rules in force. In this regard, the writ petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondent dated 10.03.2016.
3. Thus, without going into the merits of the case, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 10.03.2016 and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks form the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
