ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N. KIRUBAKARAN,J.) The petitioner, who is the maternal aunt of the detenue, has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition to produce the detenue before this Court and set her at liberty.

When the matter is taken up today, the detenue, namely, Ms. Sreekavi has been produced before this Court. 3.

Mr.R.Prathap Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that since the second respondent allegedly kidnapped the minor girl, Sreekavi, who is said to be aged about 17 years, she has been subjected to Medical Examination from today morning and it would be completed today itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

After Medical Examination, the Police can send the minor along with the petitioner/ maternal aunt as the minor expressed her wish to go along with the petitioner. 5.

The respondent Police is also directed to send the minor girl for counselling through Child Welfare Committee attached to Child Welfare Board, Chennai, regularly. At the time of sending the minor girl for counselling, appropriate police protection shall also be given.

6. Since the second respondent, who is said to have kidnapped the minor, has already been arrested and remanded to judicial custody, the habeas corpus petition is disposed of with the above directions.
