The petitioner has approached this Court, seeking the following relief:- "To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to give permission and police protection to conduct procession of deity of Amman and Pampaiudgai Somprogram is to be held on 15.08.2018 during the temple festival (Adi) of Arulmighu Sri Muthumariamman Temple, situated Tulukanpattu-607 209, Ulundurpet Taluk, Villupuram District, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2018." 2.The petitioner wants to celebrate Adi Festival of Arulmigu Thiru Muthumariyamman temple in Thulkampattu Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Villupuram District and therefore, he gave a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 31.07.2018, seeking police protection, which is evincing no response, the present writ petition is filed for issuance of Mandamus.

3.Heard Mr.J.Milton Arul Rajendran, learned counsel of for petitioner and Mr.C.Raghavan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. Mr.R.Raju, Head Constable-354, Thiruvennainallur P.S. Villupuram District is present. 4.On instructions, the learned Government Advocate submitted that there are two communities residing around the temple and there is every likelihood of communal clash erupting, if permission is granted. In such circumstances, no direction as prayed for can be granted and it is always open to the Authorities to consider the representation dated 31.07.2018 of the petitioner, on merits and pass orders in accordance with law. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
