Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records from the third respondent in the Circular No.9/2004 dated 8.11.2004 and to quash the same being illegal, arbitrary, unlawful and without jurisdiction.

ORDER

Mr.V.Govardhanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner fairly stated that the petitioner challenged the circular dated 8.11.2004 issued by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Chennai, wherein it has been made clear that the name of the officer or staff facing surcharge proceedings shall not be included in the promotion panel. However, during the pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner was considered for promotion and the promotion also has been granted. He has also placed on record the copy of the promotion order dated 28.8.2010, in which the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Chennai has given him promotion to the post of Cooperative Sub Registrar.

2. Recording the same, the writ petition is closed as infructuous. Consequently, M.P.No.2 of 2010 & W.M.P.Nos.12556 of 2016, 232 of 2017 are also closed. No costs.
