2. Today, when these writ petitions are taken up for consideration, both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Pondicherry) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 fairly submitted that due to efflux of time, the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication herein.
