O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to file a report at early pertaining to the detention of the detenue by name DEVAYANI @ DEVI, Wife of Babu and also to direct the Judicial Magistrate No.1,

Poonamallee to dispose the C.M.P.No.358 of 2020 in Crime No.3 of 2020 on the file of the first respondent as expeditiously.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on 20.01.2020, the first respondent police registered a case against the employer of the victim girl in Crime No.3 of 2020 under Sections 3(2) (a), 4(1), 5(1) (a) of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act and secured the victim and she was produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Poonamallee and she was sent to the custody of the third respondent home. He further submitted that the victim girl is the petitioners' wife and she was not involved in any immoral activities. He further submitted that the petitioner has filed Crl.M.P.No.358 of 2020 before the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Poonamallee, to release his wife and the same is pending for P.O Report and hence, he prayed to direct the second respondent to file a report immediately and also direct the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Poonamallee, to dispose of the Crl.M.P.No.358 of 2020 in Cr.No.3 of 2020 as expeditiously.

3. Considering the aforesaid submission, the second respondent is directed to file a report within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Poonamallee, has to dispose of the petition within three days.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
