O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the Court below in Crl.M.P.No.1175 of 2024, dated 11.01.2024, wherein, the 1/4

application filed by the petitioner seeking for relaxation of condition was dismissed by the Court below.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent. 3.The petitioner apprehended arrest by the respondent police in Crime No.291 of 2023 for offence under Section 341, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) of IPC. Hence, the petitioner filed an anticipatory bail application before the Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, anticipatory bail was granted to the petitioner subject to certain conditions. One of the condition that was imposed was that the petitioner must appear before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m., until further orders. 4.The petitioner was complying with this condition and later, he filed an application to relax this condition. The Court below has rejected the application filed by the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner had complied with this condition only for 29 days. Aggrieved by the same, the present criminal original 2/4

petition has been filed before this Court.

5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the investigation is pending, the condition imposed by the Court below is modified to the extent that the petitioner will report before the respondent police every Friday at 5.30 p.m. for a period of eight weeks. Thereafter, the petitioner will appear before the respondent police as and when required till the completion of the investigation.
