O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.,) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the husband of the detenue, namely, Mrs.Aruna Chandan Patel More, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondent to produce the said detenue, before this Court and to set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner has stated that his marriage with the detenue had been solemnized, on 03.02.2015. After the said marriage, the petitioner and the detenue had come to Chennai, on 05.02.2015. From 25.02.2015, the detenue has been missing from his residence. Therefore, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the respondent police, on 26.02.2015. To trace the detenue, the respondent police had registered a complaint, in Crime No.326 of 2015, as a ''Woman Missing'' case. Since no effective steps had been taken by the respondent, the petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Today, when the matter had been listed for hearing, the respondent police had filed a Status Report, dated 25.01.2006, narrating the various steps taken by the respondent to trace out the detenue.

In view of the statements made in the Status Report filed on behalf of the respondent, we are of the considered view that no further orders are necessary in the Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed. However, the respondent is directed to continue with the investigation to trace out the detenue and keep the petitioner informed about the same.
