On the allegation of diversion of funds by the insolvent, the Official Assignee initiated a criminal prosecution and filed a criminal complaint before the Superintendent of Police, CBCID, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, pursuant to the order given by this Court dated 02.03.2017. Later having found that there was a little progress in the investigation in A.No.27 of 2016, the case registered in Crime No. 6 of 2017 on the file of the Economic Offences Wing-II, was transferred to CBI/EOW, Chennai for continuation of investigation. The Investigation Officer filed a Status Report of the investigation on 13.09.2019.

2. This Court, on perusing the Status Report, ordered further investigation. Accordingly, the Investigation Officer has completed the investigation and has filed the Status Report of his investigation and seek leave of this Court to file the final report before the learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.
