..Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the impugned selection process of the 1st Respondent culminating in its Advertisement No.R3/1/08(II-Revised) dated 02.09.2009 and quash the same and consequently directing the Respondents to follow the provisions of Tamil Nadu Arunthathiar (Special Reservation of seats in Educational Institutions including Private Educational Institutions and of appointments or posts in the services under the State within the reservation for the Scheduled Caste) Act, 2009 and to apply the rule of reservation and to consider merit of the Petitioner and consequently, to appoint the Petitioner as Assistant Professor in the 1st Respondent University.

There was no appearance for the Petitioner at the hearing on 17.03.2020. The matter was listed again on 11.11.2020. Once again, there was no appearance for the Petitioner and the case was adjourned to today. At the hearing today also, no one has logged in for the Petitioner.
2. The learned counsel for the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is present and he submits that the writ petition relates to a notification dated 02.09.2009 in respect of appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Pursuant to the said notification, he submits that the posts were filled up. In fact, he submits that subsequent appointments were also made by issuing a notification in the year 2013. As such, he submits that nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition which is infructuous.
3. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
