ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's husband viz., A.Venkatesan S/o.Apparav, aged 39 years, before this Court and to set him at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed. 2.Heard Ms.Auxilia Peter, learned counsel for the petitioner over phone and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
3.It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Venkatesan went missing on 19.02.2018 and thereafter his whereabouts are not known.
4.On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
in Triplicane P.S. Crime No.105 of 2018 has been registered for man missing and the investigation is in progress. 5.Under such circumstances, this Court directs the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Triplicane, Chennai to monitor the investigation in Triplicane P.S. Crime No.105 of 2018 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu is secured, he may be produced before the II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, under intimation to the petitioner.
6.With the above direction, the habeas corpus petition stands closed.
