The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to restore the Electricity Service Connection and the Cables Meter etc. at their own cost for the petitioner's house and premises bearing Door No.41/78, Sembiam High Road, Puzhal Kathirvedu, Chennai-66.

2. When the matter is called, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents stated that the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous since the State Highways Department has already given a direction to demolish the house put up in the encroached portion of the land belonging to the State Highways and the entire construction of the petitioner has been demolished on 13.06.2013. safety purpose, the Electricity Service Connection was disconnected and the meter box was also removed.
