PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the first respondent in PAN: AACCB 6921G relating to the application made by the petitioner for stay of demand under Section 220(6) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, and quash the order dated 16.02.2010 rejecting the stay petition and direct the first respondent to grant stay of demand relating to the assessment order for the assessment year 2007-08, pending disposal of the appeal before the second respondent.

The order under challenge in the present writ petition is to the rejection of the petitioner's interim request for stay, pending the appeal.
2. It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents that the main appeal in ITA.No.255/09-10/AIII itself has been disposed of on 27.06.2011 and as such, no effective orders can be passed in the present writ petition.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
